‘Modulab is a trans-media and multi-disciplinary platform that promotes research and development of new means of expressivity through technology and interaction within artistic contexts’. Part of their strategy for this year is the redesign of their identity and online platforms to reflect a modern and fresh look, emphasising their approach and values.
Along with Loot studio, I worked on a few concepts for the upcoming redesign of their website and promotional materials. With the website, we wanted to underline their strong connection with research and experimentation and created an interface based on their modular logo.
Using sensors placed in their workspace (ex :light, temperature, humidity), the application lets the user choose between the coloured buttons to which sensor the logo should react. Hence, external information determines the way the logo moves in the website throughout their stay on the page, but also the background colour, enabling a more engaging and personalised experience.
Clean imagery and an airy display of information facilitates an easy user journey, allowing the readers to discover the well researched content and creative process behind the thoughtful works of Modulab.
