Conquerors represents a concept for a digital animation based on The Legend of the Four Seasons. According to it, long before Romans conquered Europe and the Great Egyptian Civilisation was born, four Gods, brothers with different names and appearances, found themselves fighting over one planet. With time as their enemy, each God strived to dominate the world’s appearance, but ultimately, bringing to surface nature’s inner beauty became their common goal. By embracing the bare nature with its generous landscapes, the gods, up to this day, use their supremacy to build with colours and patterns intricate beauty to prove their power over nature.
Both capturing the individual strive of each season and the harmonious change between one another, the animation aims to drag audience in a dynamic and immersive visual experience. Using colours as visual metaphors for the imprints left by seasons on nature’s bare landscapes, the animation focuses on creating colourful strong visuals and fluid movements. This underlines the organic intertwine of seasons’ forces, which builds equilibrium and brings to surface the beauty of nature.
Further exploration of generative patterns and colours could build an animation loop to capture the season’s cyclicality.
